WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US
We Take Your Welfare Seriously
We'll look out for you and make sure your job is meeting your personal needs and goals. If you go out of your way for us, we will definitely do the same for you.
How You are Paid
You will be paid on time through direct deposit.
Rate per line is based on the dollar amount contracted for with the client. Pay rates differ between clients, so you may be paid one rate for one of your clients and a totally different rate for the other. Contractors increase their income by increasing their production. Working from home independently does not carry the benefits or perks of an office employee, nor are there merit increases. However, since it's your business, you qualify for all business tax deductions and you no longer have the expense of traveling to and from work or the wardrobe required for outside jobs. These facts directly increase your income. Your motor vehicle insurance premiums should also be affected positively. If you need time off, let us know in advance and we get you coverage.
We recommend you have a CPA set up your initial bookkeeping system with an emphasis on tax planning. After the initial setup you will want to review for upcoming changes in the tax laws by November of each year.
We're Here to Support You
You will be able to reach us at all times if you have an emergency or a question. We are here to support you and make you successful. We believe in totally open communication. We also expect the highest level of business ethics from ourselves and from you. We may not always have an instant solution, but we will definitely be working on achieving one for you.
We Appreciate and Expect Your Input
We want you to take a proactive part in managing your work. If you see something that we should be doing to be more efficient in an area, we want to know.
We Pay Bonuses if You Bring in New Clients
If you bring new clients to the company, you will receive a bonus at the end of their first three months of working with us.
We Thrive on a Good Sense of Humor
As stringent as we are in our requirements, we do tend to see the funny side of things and if you do too, we'll have a very enjoyable time together! Who said work can't be fun?!
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
We're Not a Medical Transcription School
In order to work for eDat Solutions, you must have a minimum of five years experience and a strong working/commonsense knowledge of the medical field. We are not in the education business. Come to us prepared. Foreign accents should be your specialty, . . not your dread. Twenty-four hour TAT of your work is required. We expect 1,200 totally accurate lines per day. Our accuracy rate is maintained at over 99%, and we strive for 100%. Our editor runs continuous random samplings, she is not there to fix your typos or errors. That is your responsibility.
Maturity, Dependability & Good Judgement
You must work with an innate sense of urgency. Some people are born/raised with this and some aren't. We only hire those who have this quality. We won't be lighting fires under anyone to get them to perform at peak.
We don't watch your back. If you are mature and responsible, we won't have to. If you aren't, we'll cut you loose.
It's Your Medical Transcription Business
Since you will be an independent contractor, in business for yourself, we will not be telling you what hours you must work, but we expect you to set specific working hours for yourself when you will not be interrupted by family or friends. They must understand that you are a professional and that while you are working, you are not free for them. Your office area should be away from all onlookers and be HIPAA compliant in this regard.
Flexibility & Going the Extra Mile (Attitude is Everything!)
We expect you to be flexible in the event of an emergency if you're called upon to cover someone who is ill or otherwise disposed.
We are a happy group that goes out of our way to help you be successful, . . we only ask that it be a two way street. A totally positive attitude is critical to your longevity with eDat.
We must always be able to get in touch with you should an emergency arise.
The Home-Based Medical Transcriptionist Works Harder
Working from home is more difficult than going to an office, chatting at the water cooler and leaving at 5 p.m. We almost have to set timers to tell us when we should stand up and stretch to stay healthy! We're intense workers and we expect you to be the same.
